Anxiety rouses us to action and helps us cope up with the stressful situations. But when anxiety reaches to the extreme level and irrational dread of everyday situations engulf our minds, it is called as anxiety disorder. As per one research, there are over 19 million adults affected by anxiety disorders in the United States today. If left untreated for long the disease may hamper the routine life of the patient.

Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

Cognitive-Behavior Therapy has significant effect on the thinking procedure of the patient. It exposes the patient to dreadful situations that rouse compulsion. The process help the patient deal with the adverse situations. Physicians are unanimous about the significant effect of the cognitive-behavior therapy.

People constantly living under stress are the lots mostly affected by various sorts of anxiety disorders. Anxiety is a natural phenomenon occurring as a response to stress and may in certain cases help stabilize stress. Since too much of anything is good for nothing, so is anxiety, excessive of it interferes in the performances of even the simplest of things. More than the disorder itself, ignorance of the disorder is what makes it dreadful. It is thus indispensable to be aware of the symptoms related to the disorders and consult a psychiatrist on how to treat anxiety symptoms.

Symptoms of Panic Disorder

Although the symptoms of the disorders are by and large specific but they are also dynamic varying from person to person. It is thus valuable to be aware of the symptoms of anxiety before actually consulting a doctor on how to treat anxiety symptoms. The commonest of all anxiety-related symptoms is giddiness which gives a feel of the world revolving around you rapidly. The feeling of a terror or mishap, going to take place in near future, is also possible due to anxiety. The occurrence of giddiness may be due to many factors. To illustrate, suddenly rising up from a chair under extreme stress conditions may result in giddiness due to transient low blood pressure. Viral infections like labyrinthitis or other inner ear infections may also lead to anxiety-related giddiness.

Common symptoms of anxiety manifested physically are breathlessness, vomiting sensations, rapid heart beat, claustrophobic-like symptoms, heavy sweating, headache, hyperventilation and stomach cramps. Some psychological symptoms manifest in the form of trauma by envisioning themselves being killed in heart attacks or other dreadful diseases. At this point, the anxiety problem is at its peak and demands immediate treatment. The first step in attaining treatment is to find out how to treat anxiety symptoms.

Life gets difficult day after day and hence anxiety and stress related mental disorders top the list of all mental disorders. But the better part of this disorder is that it can be cured unlike other disorders although timely diagnosis is a must. Once diagnosis is accomplished, a physician can then lead to the various methods on how to treat anxiety symptoms.

One of the common methods that doctors prescribe on how to treat anxiety symptoms is Beta blockers medicines. These medicines often cut down on the amount of symptoms experienced and bring a deep feeling of relaxation. But most professional psychiatrists consider cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) along with medicines to be the best treatment method for anxiety. In this behavioral therapy, therapists identify the causes that lead to negative physical manifestations and try to simulate the same reasons before the patient so that he can learn how to combat the negative thinking.

Herbal treatment leaves us with still another option of how to treat anxiety symptoms. Medicinal plants such as Kava Kava, St.John’s Wort and Valerian root are found to be highly effective against anxiety disorders. But, when taken for long time, herbal medicines may also culminate side effects and hence it is advisable to consume them in smaller quantities.

To deal with panic attacks effectively, the sufferer must have determination and patient, controlling panic attacks takes time and effort to slowly recover, there is no fast way in coping with panic attacks.

According to World Health Organization (WHO), the sixth leading cause of disability in the world is bipolar disease and adolescent bipolar. And the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry has confirmed that a staggering number of 3.4 million children and adolescents may actually be suffering from depression, an early- onset of bipolar disorders, in the United States alone. Bipolar disease which is a mental illness has been discovered to cause a lot of problems both in how people live and their individual health.

Probable Causes of Adolescent Bipolar

The primary cause of bipolar disorder is when the chemical in the brain becomes imbalanced. Stimulating the neurotransmitters in the brain is needed for the brain to be able to control emotions, perform decisions, make tasks and control physical activities. When chemical imbalance occurs in the brain, untold damage can happen both in the mind and the human body. The norepinephrine, a chemical in the neurotransmitters, rise to its abnormal level which can cause bipolar disorder. Genetics also play an important part in the causes of the disease. For example; children from parents who have bipolar are also at risk of catching the disease. Bipolar disease does not happen with a single gene but a combination of genes. Other factors like environment can play an important part in promoting the onset of bipolar disease and adolescent bipolar symptoms. Drug use, experiencing periods of stress, illness and other events can stimulate the brain to trigger bipolar symptoms. Even anxiety in children can develop into bipolar disorder.

Signs and Symptoms

Symptoms and Signs The primary characteristic of bipolar in adolescent is the intense mood swings. There are generally three phases in bipolar; mania, depression and manic depression. Common signs and symptoms of mania include; an unusual feeling of “high” and optimistic OR extremely irritable, grandiose, and unrealistic beliefs about one’s abilities or powers, very little sleep, jumping quickly from one idea to the next, easily distractible, unable to concentrate, acts recklessly without thinking about the consequences, hallucinations and delusions (in severe cases). Common symptoms of bipolar depression include feeling sad, hopeless or empty, very irritable, unable to experience pleasure, easily tired or loss of energy, physical and mental sluggishness , change of appetite or weight changes, problems with sleeping, concentration and memory problems. A mixed episode of bipolar disorder features symptoms of both mania or hypomania and depression. This combination of high energy and low mood makes for a particularly high risk of suicide

Treatment available for Adolescent Bipolar Disorder

Bipolar disorder in adolescent is curable. Proper treatment plan and early diagnosis is the most effective way of treating this illness. It is very important that when children are showing signs of the symptom such as personality change, their mood swings are constant and extreme, and suicidal, you must advice that the patients seek medical treatment immediately.

To treat bipolar disorder, patients are put under certain medications and advised to go under therapy. In terms of medication, children may need to take more than one drug depending on the complexity of their bipolar condition. The kind of therapy or psychotherapy designed for children and teens is often called talk therapy were they are coached to manage their symptoms and deal with their disease.

Helping your Child

Bipolar disease developed by children at their early stage can be more severe than those experienced by children at older ages. The mood swings seen in young children is more severe than that compared to teens and adults. The mood swings can go for days, weeks, months or can even stay with the person for the rest of his/her life. Parents must take the proactive role in facing and understanding the nature of early-onset of this disease. The disease must not be taken lightly because of the extreme risks and behavior the disease can inflict on the person.

Stress has always been with us. If we go back to caveman days, there was no doubt the stress of survival - finding food, seeking shelter, escaping predators, fitting in with the clan.

Today even though our lives have changed drastically, stress is still with us - we’re just stressed about different things. Some of us are worried about our financial future or the stress of being out of work. Others, who have a job may be facing stressful situations at work. Many people have health related problems and face the stress of dealing with their illness. Or you may have a marriage that is so filled with stress that it is barely surviving. If you have kids, they could be facing the stress of dealing with bullies at school. Stress is all around us, and always has been. Those who survive are the ones who find productive ways of dealing with stress instead of capitulating to it.

Researchers and scientiests have well documented the effects of stress on the body and mind. Experts in stress management know that trying to eliminate stress from a person’s life is not only futile, it’s arguably not even desirable. So they concentrate on managing stress instead. But why is it that some people thrive under stress and others, in a similar situation, will collapse from it? There are a couple of reasons why, but the main reason is that a large part of anxiety response is psychological. The first individual has learned how to manage his anxiety so well that he actually thrives under pressure. Likewise, a stress management expert will help you to achieve similar results.

Where does anxiety come from? There is no one answer. Often it comes from a traumatic life changing event such as the loss of a parent, the loss of a child, or the loss of anyone you love. It can also come from less dramatic life changing events such as moving to a new neighborhood, attending a new school, or starting a new job. But most forms of stress or anxiety boil down to either loss of the familiar or anticipation of loss of the familiar.

The word “choke” is often used in sports. A sports team may win one game. Then they win another, and another, until finally they’ve managed to win 12 games in a row. Now, all eyes are on them and the pressure is on them to win. Because now they’re playing for the expectations of their families, their coaches, and fans. Now, instead of being lose, they approach each game with the attitude that they HAVE to win. The next loss has not even happened and yet some of the team members are already feeling tightness. Since the loss hasn’t happened yet, it can only be attributed to anticipation of what will happen if the team does lose. So, in many high profile, high stakes, games you’ll see players dropping balls that they would normally catch with ease, missing goals that they would normally make in their sleep, and passing up shots that they would normally take. In other words, they’re choking.

Superstars, on the other hand, have leaned to manage and focus their stress. They won’t pass up a shot. They’ll insist on taking the shot. They’ll actually want the ball in crucial situations. They will love being in the spotlight in front of thousands, maybe millions of people. Same game, same situation, different player, different reactions.

The important thing to note is that this feeling of confidence or comfort is not related to skill level. Because, we all know people who have little or no talent in their field who are nevertheless filled with supreme confidence in their actions and abilities.

There are ways to treat anxiety disorders without taking drugs but in certain cases medications become an absolute requirement. The negative effects of being on medication include the unpleasant side-effects which could be avoided by opting out for natural herb for anxiety treatment. This especially holds true as the herbal treatment lack the addictive property. Other than this, the herbal treatment is inexpensive and easily accessible too.

Different forms of natural herbs for anxiety have been discovered and successfully applied as well to suppress stress associated with anxiety. Some of the common herbs put into use for curing anxiety and depression are discussed briefly.

Passion Flower

This is the best ever known natural plant used to treat anxiety. It is a natural sedative that can heal general anxiety and restlessness. The calming properties of the herb can reduce tremors of body caused out of fear. The herb contains anti-depressants and act as a painkiller. It is also useful to cure blood-pressure and epilepsy.

Chamomile

The direct action on the stress chemicals in the brain due to a tranquilizing effect is the grounds for considering Chamomile as an anti-anxiety agent. The beauty in exploiting the natural herbs is its consumption in various forms. For instance, as an ingredient in herbal baths and tea made from the leaves.

Lavender

Lavender is popular in parallel with Passion flower and at times used in place of it for treating anxiety. Famous for its calming capabilities, the natural herb for anxiety treatment focuses on counteracting panic attacks. It is an important tonic for a healthy nervous system.

Ginkgo Biloba

By raising the amount of oxygen supply in the brain, it is possible to produce positive feelings in the patient. This is done by the oldest known medicinal herb Ginkgo biloba.

Lemon Balm

It reduces the blood pressure as it calms the digestive and nervous system. But the effectiveness of the herb is uncertain if taken individually. But, when taken with Chamomile, Passion flower or Valerian it can provide dramatic results is anxiety attacks.

Kava

The wide use of Kava plants is due to their calming and sedative effect. They could be used as an anesthetic.

Conclusion

There are other useful herbs such as Rhodiola, Bacopin, Dandelion can treat anxiety when taken in exact proportion and with proper dosages. You can select any natural herb for anxiety treatment and reduce the symptoms of anxiety attacks. However, it is to remember that taking these herbs separately could be not as effective as the combination of several herbs in appropriate proportion. It is also dangerous to take these herbs without having adequate knowledge of preparing the medicines out of these herbs. Though all the herbs are of medicinal value, a balanced intake of these herbs can be optimally effective.

In spite of the fact that herbs treatments for panic attacks hardly manifest any side effects in comparison to medication. When dealing with anxiety attacks, care should be taken for the correct dosage, preferably recommended by a physician. The use of natural herb for anxiety treatment is central to attain steady success, the preparations being wide-spread including a number of valuable herbs. Various upcoming firms are indulged in the production of herbal medicines meant to work against stress and to treat panic attack. However, their intake should be in proportion to proper diet.

Mentors of Motion, through a founding member, Mr. Vale Smith have published a law of attraction theory. The theory became known as the Captain and the Crew theory. The concepts detailed in the captain and crew theory can also be adapted into reviewing anxiety and depression. I have laid out this view below to examine, how we develop anxiety and depression.

A large circle as the head; on a stick figure as the body was Val’s view of a human. The large circle representing the mind was divided in half with a horizontal line. The Captain being in the top half, with the Crew in the lower portion of the circle.

Have you ever wished you had someone who really understood what you are going through at the time of your anxiety panic attack. For a really great awesome program on how to be anxiety free take a look at my review on the anxiety release method

On the top of the head you would insert two antennas, one with a positive (+) sign, the other a negative (-) sign, and between the antenna, an energy or frequency line. As you well understand, everything in the world around us is driven by electrical impulses or other forms of energy, our thoughts, our speech, everything in our life experience is delivered and processed through either the positive or negative field (in this case our antenna).

The Captain role as on a ship is to receive all external information and pass this information as or if necessary on to the crew. Any information passed to the crew obviously, now has the Captains interpretation on it applied, whether it be positive of negative. As with all teams, the crews have to respond to the information presented and implement it without question.

If you are suffering with Anxiety then you may want to check out things to do at the first sign of anxiety attack

The concern is the crew will predominately create negative feelings as a result of the information supplied, should the captain continually project his own negativity in his instructions.

Through continued negative presentations the captain (our primary brain) forces the negative view onto the crew (our subconscious) that causes the sub conscious to develop medical conditions such as high blood pressure, fear, tension and finally anxiety and depression.

Lets use a couple of examples involving the use of the captain and crew proposal.

Should you as the captain, be told that your ugly you can ignore the advice and remain positive or you can take it as a negative and pass on to the crew that they also are ugly. The crew, must develop what the captain has told them and obey orders without question. Therefore, having been told by the captain they are ugly, the crew is compelled to develop images of ugliness, low self esteem etc.

The example in reverse is you as the captain are thanked for your efforts, told how fantastic you have done. As the captain you feel positive and pass on to the crew this positive point and the other positive you were told. They the crew then manifest feeling of self-worth and of wellbeing.

Do you want a one on one coaching session with a top anxiety coach, then you may want to check out my review on the anxiety release method.

Using Val’s theory, we can now start to see that it is our acceptance of our negative position, repeatedly passed to our subconscious by our captain the brain, which is responsible for our stress, anxiety and depression. We allow there development from continued negative feedback from our life style and the interactions with people we have, from childhood through to being an adult.

Negative feed back is a constant, which is more commonly given than words of phrase. The crew can then start to change there view of themselves from a negative to a positive outcome.

The direct relationship between bipolar symptoms and bipolar medication can be seen in the phases that people with bipolar disorder go through. People with bipolar will experience either a high or a low. This can last from days to weeks to months. At times, it may get so intense that it will interfere with the person’s disposition or ability to function.

Medication alone is not enough to effectively control the symptoms of bipolar. It is the same for almost all types of diseases. Many people have the understanding that bipolar medications are the keys to treating the disorder. Medications are there to only find a relief to the symptoms of the disorder. Bipolar disorder medication is only there to help sufferer’s cope with the disorder. It helps them minimize the disruptions caused to their daily activities. It is a serious health issue that needs more than medications to cure it.

Signs and Symptoms

In most cases, there are four classifications of the symptoms of bipolar. The first is Mania. Here, there is a feeling of heightened levels of energy, creativity and euphoria. Next is hypomania which is a less severe form of mania. Patients in this state experience a euphoric and energetic feeling without losing touch with reality. The third state is the depression state which is categorized by feelings of irritability, guilt, and unpredictable mood swings. A mixed episode is the last phase. It has features of all the other symptoms but poses a much higher risk of suicide for sufferers.

Bipolar disorder symptoms are most often unpredictable and vary from one person to another. Bipolar medications are important in managing the disease and keeping it from ruining a person’s life especially since it can occur at any time.

Popular Medications Available for Bipolar Disorder

Bipolar disorder is a form of chemical imbalance in the brain. Establishing equilibrium with the chemical synthesis that occurs in the brain is what is needed to manage the symptoms. The following are a few of the bipolar symptoms and medication.

Anti-depressants such as tricyclics, monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs) and lithium are commonly used to manage depressive bipolar symptoms. Among them, lithium is more widely used because of its ability to even out mood swings and prevent manic attacks and flare-ups.

Medications and anticonvulsants used to treat seizures are also used as mood stabilizers. This is usually prescribed to people who are not able to take lithium or do not benefit from lithium.

To treat and manage bipolar early, antipsychotic medication is used. This is especially handy when other types of medication do not work.

Calcium channel blockers and benzodiazepines are some other medications.

Medications do not cure

Psycho therapeutic medication is a type of bipolar medication that helps in controlling the symptoms of bipolar. It is used to compensate and correct the malfunctions in the body caused by the disorder. However, they do not hold the key to actually curing bipolar but rather ensure that the patients adjust and benefit from his chosen methods of psychotherapy. Thoroughly monitoring the symptoms of bipolar and medication intake will effectively lead patients on to the road to recovery.

The subsequent panic attack treatment reviews have been researched based on customer satisfaction, effectiveness and value for money. These reviews have been collected with the hope that they will help you decide on the best panic attack treatment for you, depending on your general condition, your budget and options available. These reviews will also help you to decide on what to avoid as part of your treatment.

THERAPEUTIC HELP

Therapies are of core importance while discussing panic attack treatment reviews. However, while considering therapies, the choice of a reputed therapist is a must as many business-oriented unskilled therapists might attract attention. Some patients are recommended to obtain information regarding panic attacks from authenticated websites and informative books that opens up opportunities of self-help techniques.

Advantages

When your problems of panic attacks are taken over by your therapist, the complete basis of the problems, the triggering factors and their treatment become his. This then gives way to a quicker and easier healing process.

Disadvantages

Expenditure for consultations alone is high.

Panic attacks are sudden and entail a doctor during emergencies as well whereas the appointments are usually on weekly basis. Treatments once a week may delay the treatment process as well.

Establishing a rapport with the therapist plays a key role during the treatment lacking which a treatment becomes inadequate and useless.

Devoting much time for the treatment during working hours remains a challenge due to which the treatment becomes ineffective.

Panic attacks may erupt during any circumstance at any point of time during a lifetime. Getting continued support becomes impossible after undergoing a complete course.

MEDICATION

The treatment options in the field of medications have revolutionized majorly and research-based novel drugs regularly invade the market. Moreover, panic attack treatment reviews do not focus on medicines alone. The treatment by medicines in terms of dosage and frequency has to be under the supervision of a physician. Medicines widely in use today are:

SSRIs such as paroxetine, sertraline, fluvoxamine, escitalopram and fluoxetine

Benzodiazepines such as diazepam, lorazepam, alprazolam and clonazepam

NaSSAs such as Mitrzapine

SNRIs such as venlafaxine

Advantages

Medicines act as an activator when taken along with other treatments.

These are backed by scientific research and studies. Hence medicines are authenticated.

Most medicines have fewer side-effects and respond well for many patients.

Disadvantages

Medicines are generally expensive

Some medicines can have unpleasant side effects and can interfere with your normal life situations.

The drug dependency habit is disagreeable. Instead of mastering the self-help techniques if we keep falling back on medication, we will never come out of the anxiety problem naturally and completely. However, some patients need constant medication to control the severity of their disorder.

OVERVIEW

In accordance with your general condition, budget and options available, these reviews have been set. A combination of medication and behavioral therapy has proven to be the ideal treatment.

One of the most used method to treat anxiety is cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), and panic away is the more advanced and effective program, you can find more information here, panic away one move technique and panic away scam. If you don’t mind pay a little bit more, The Linden Method provides more details and training, more information is here: does the linden method good or bad.

Just what is Clinical Depression? Clinical Depression is a serious disease. This illness can affect the way you feel, the way you act and the way you think. It doesn’t mean you’re a loser. It does mean there’s a medical problem that requires treatment. It’s not easy to live the same way as always. What used to entertain you might now bore you, or seem a useless pursuit. Clinical Depression results in long term hopelessness and feelings of remorse. This sickness will not simply disappear. It’s not like losing a loved one, the sadness eventually lessening. Clinical Depression is much more. If an individual has knowledge of Clinical Depression they should seek out and get help immediately.

Clinical Depression can affect every aspect of your everyday life. Your thought patterns might change. You might become confused. Your mood and the way that you behave are also at the will of this unforgiving illness. Your life might go topsy-turvey thanks to eating and sleeping problems. It’s possible that instead of being able to do your work or to focus on a task like school, you’ll wonder how it was ever possible. Clinical Depression will specifically affect your ability to deal with those around you. You will find that you often do not feel like yourself.

As mentioned earlier Clinical Depression is not a personal defect. It won’t go away simply by wishing it gone. There are no quick fixes like the power of positive thinking. Medical treatment that persists for weeks or even years is required. People have been known to attempt suicide if this condition isn’t treated. In many cases you may feel you know why you are depressed. However, this illness is complex and can be caused by many different factors. A group of issues typically work together to result in Clinical Depression. Factors such as your environment or even your DNA are important.

Biological issues such as chemical imbalances can lead to Clinical Depression. Stress might also cause this illness. Your psychological condition can be affected greatly by stress at school or at work . Our lives are filled with all sorts of potential pressures that can wreak havoc with your system. Alcohol and drug use also can play a major role in the development of Clinical Depression. If you have any doubts about someone you love or yourself displaying symptoms of this illness you are encouraged to get a diagnosis from a medical professional. It is always best to consult the appropriate professional when experiencing signs of Clinical Depression.

The scary thing about schizophrenia is that sufferers may be so confused by the symptoms that they are unable to tell what is real and what is fantasy. For instance, when serial killer David Berkowitz saw black dogs barking out orders to kill, he believed they were actually there. Many schizophrenics keep their voices and thoughts to themselves, for fear of being labeled “crazy.” Another schizophrenic, Janice Jordan, mentioned being unable to tell her counselors about a delusional figure known as “The Controller” who barked orders at her during psychotic episodes. The more patients learn about the illness and its many effects, the better equipped they are to handle the symptoms. Unfortunately, taking life-long medication is also a realistic assumption on the road to recovery.

Schizophrenia research reports some interesting findings. For instance, the mental illness is largely caused by a neuro-chemical imbalance of Dopamine, Seratonin and Norepenephrine. In a normal brain, the frontal lobe increases its blood flow and the “listening” part of the brain diminishes. PET scans reveal that in a schizophrenic brain, the frontal lobe is active but the “listening” part remains just as active. The sensory overload usually causes a hallucination. People who are born with schizophrenia generally have irregular brain cell patterns. Drugs and stress do not cause schizophrenia, but they can certainly exacerbate the symptoms. In some cases, family members who understand very little can agitate the symptoms by using an accusing tone of voice or reacting angrily to the sufferer.

Family members who know about schizophrenia can learn to recognize symptoms of an acute attack: a change in personality, social withdrawal, sleeplessness, agitation, using words that do not make sense and seeing things that aren’t there. It is important to create an environment that facilitates recovery. Keeping peace and serenity at home, helping the schizophrenic set realistic goals, sharing tasks, gradually increasing independence and encouraging new hobbies can all provide schizophrenia support.

There are many misperceptions about schizophrenia. One is that schizophrenia is the same as multiple personality disorder (MPD), which is simply not true. MPD is often characterized by two or more separate and distinct “personalities” which sometimes go by different names, display different mannerisms and have entire lists of unique likes and dislikes. By contrast, schizophrenics exhibit different behavior, as well as suffer delusions and hallucinations. However, they maintain a basic sense of self, afflicted by mood swings and fragmented thinking. Another misperception is that sufferers are violent by nature. Because of cases like David Berkowitz or Herb Mullin, the general public associate schizophrenia with murderers - but the only real danger for 99% of schizophrenics is self-harm. By educating the public, diagnosis and recovery can be more effective.
